The Trustees of the MSMT are delighted to welcome two new member Trustees. Giles Chapman and Stephen Laing are both well-known figures in the world of classic motoring.
Giles is the author of over 50 books on a diverse array of automotive subjects and is a past winner of the Montagu of Beaulieu Trophy for Chapman's Car Compendium. He launched Your Classic magazine and has written for many magazines and websites. He currently writes for The Automobile, Octane plus many other magazines and websites as well as owning one of the most comprehensive private car image libraries in Europe.
Stephen Laing is Head of Collections at the British Motor Museum, Gaydon overseeing the exhibitions and curating the collections as well as advising Arts Council England on historic vehicles. He co-authored Making Cars at Cowley, a book on Morris Motors, and has advised many others on book projects, commentating in print on motoring history on a regular basis.
